The best way to get over the Notch is to put in Smugglers Notch resort in gps and then just continue past the resort on left and you will proceed over the notch. There is places to park as your car winds it's way through the notch for you to explore the caves, trails and streams. When you get to the Stowe side there is a trail to a beautiful waterfall. The pass closes in winter for cars. Best and favorite way to go to Stowe.

Beautiful Mountain notch you can bike or drive through. It has great bouldering for climbers and some trails.

This is a great free place to go snowshoeing or cross country skiing.

Fun drive through the notch and then off to Johnson, Morrisville (stop at Lost Nation Brewery for lunch) and then back to Stowe. Fun loop in the car.
