24th st Cafe is truly a Bakersfield staple! Breakfast is delicious and exactly what you want in a little diner. Only knock on it would be get there early because wait times should be expected.

Classic Diner Style Breakfast (and lunch but that's secondary). There is usually a line but it moves fast and is worth it if you're craving that All-American Breakfast place. Be sure to ask about the specials, usually printed on a smaller piece of paper, it's where the cooks step out from under eggs and bacon tyranny. A must try? The pumpkin pancakes. Yes, please! The pancakes have been featured on national television. The fried trout (yes for breakfast) is also very popular.
