If you want to get out of town, the Long Trail Brewery "down the road" at Bridgewater Corners is a great spot. Good beer, decent food.

And it is on the challenging side, as the gorge is rather steep, but it offers commanding views and a great spot for swimming at the bottom. Afterwards, the upscale Simon Pierce restaurant is a recommended treat. The restaurant showcases a powerful waterfall view, as well as glass blowing demonstrations.”

“Mac's is a fantastic local grocery store. Their in-store bakery is very high quality. They have a great selection of pretty much everything you would need to cook or bake just about anything. They also have a huge aisle of beer and wine. The prices are quite reasonable and the folks that check you out are always very friendly.”
