We locals like to call this (Secret Beach) its behind the Visitor center, you can park in the parking lot and take a short walk on a boardwalk then take the small road to the end takes you to a calm shallow beach to enjoy the water and the breeze. Bring your chairs and towels and pack a lunch.

Our local Welcome Center is the place to get information about the area and plan your day trips. Bring your camera and a picnic lunch to picnic by the Chesapeake Bay as you plan your stay. The CHVC is also home to two exhibits including artwork by local artisans with an emphasis on the Eastern Shore as well as an exhibit area dedicated to the history, heritage, culture of the area. The Chesapeake Heritage & Visitor Center is accessible from land and water and is a short drive from the Bay Bridge Airport. Check out the film of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge!

Address: 425 Piney Narrows Road – Chester, MD 21619 Ferry Point Park is located under the Kent Narrows Bridge, next to the Chesapeake Heritage Center. The park is 41 acres of tidal wetlands, non-tidal wetlands and uplands. Rich in wildlife, one might expect to possibly see herons, ospreys, eagles, ducks, geese, swans, turtles, bullfrogs, and deer at Ferry Point. Surrounded by three bodies of water (Chester River, Kent Narrows and Piney Creek) the parks scenic views are magnificent. Ferry Point Park has approximately (1) mile of hiker / biker trails, picnic tables, sitting benches and interpretive signage. The park is a wonderful interpretive and passive recreation spot within the Kent Narrows. It is a great beach for little kids, and dogs. As the beach is in a cove which is very shallow :) A lot of people like to pull their boat up and sunbathe for the day!
