In Poets Corner there are two pubs on the other side of the cut-through by Aldrington Station – both of which have outside space and serve good food and beer.

This is our most local pub and is open weeknights until midnight, and later on the weekend. Friendly bar staff and a number of craft beers guesting on tap, changed every few weeks or so. Pub quiz on a Monday night! £2 to enter. Lovely outdoor areas both on the road and in a covered garden out the back. The food isn’t bad either - typical gastro pub menu, though the roast is always incredible. Phone and book roasts ahead for extra sides thrown in for free. They often have a jazz roast on the last Sunday of the month with a live jazz band.
