First stop on the line Norwich to London Liverpool street station ( 1 and 1/2 hour to the big smoke) and 2 trains per hour in each direction

TRAIN - Direct train to London, Norwich and other main stations. There are electronic ticket collection machines and a cash machine. NOTES: Simple layout of 2 tracks. The main side is for trains going to London and the Gilray Road/Vinces Road side is for trains to Norwich, or those coming from London .... PARKING: Be careful with parking! In recent years it has become difficult to get a spot. Look for the Gilray Road Overflow Carpark Diss, IP22 4EU (also called 'The Vinces Road Side' by locals), which is just on the other side of the station and more or less as convenient.

Excellent direct travel direct to London Liverpool st (1 hour 45mins)...if you book in advance , you might be able to get tickets for as little as 9 pounds . Direct to Norwich station (15 mins ). From Norwich , direct to Cambridge , and many other places .
