Big town, lots to see, museums, traffic, pollution

The second city of France is well worth a visit. It's historic port is home to wonderful restaurants, while the musuems offer plenty to marvel at. The Stade Velodrome is to the south fo the city, near the beaches and the airport is just to the north.

Les Calanques de Marseille World-famous beautiful small coves for swimming. Take care to "Luminy" and park there. Walk roughly 30 minutes to the sea. Wear hiking shoes! Bring picnic and swimwear.
