Rated Number 3 on Trip Advisor, this local favourite is a 10minute drive from us but well worth the effort top get there.

Top notch pub food on a beautiful lake on the other side of the Woodhead pass. (approximately 25 minute drive) Picturesque walks any time of year. (Margery Hill walk is recommended) Tim and Vanda, the owners are very accommodating! PUB CLOSES BETWEEN 3 and 6 pm and on Mondays

The Waggon & Horses in Langsett has been run by the same family for almost five decades. Pies here are a speciality and they keep a very well maintain cellar with excellent beers. There's an open fire when it's cold outside and a wonderful beer garden when the weather is fine. The Garden looks over Langsett reservoir and the moorland beyond, an incredible view made all the better with a pint and a pie!
