Brighton Museum - Passably good regional museum, concentrating on fashion & style, plus twentieth century art and design. Child sympathetic and with a good coffee lounge. Not least, it’s free!
Really great exhibitions, very interesting and very informative! Reasonably priced, too.
Located in the Royal Pavilion garden, at the heart of the city’s cultural quarter. Its diverse collections bring together the arts and history to tell stories about the city and the world we live in.
Art Deco exhibits; Mae West Sofa version by Salvador Dali, an original stagecoach and in 1982 The Snowman was adapted for the screen and some of the original hand-drawn cels, celluloid sheets used for traditional animation, are also on display.

“Possibly Brighton’s oldest cinema in an iconic building on Preston Circus, now run by Picturehouse. They host a mixture of new releases and one off arty flicks. Worth checking what they have on if you want to pass some time”

“Take a walk through the Pavillion gardens, to see this unique piece of Brighton architecture, built as a seaside retreat for the eccentric Prince Regent in the late 1700’s. The interior is equally ostentatious and worth a look if history is your cup of tea! ”

“Great panoramic views. There’s a bar when you go up to the top and one on the ground floor level. Goes up slowly so you don’t really know it’s moving. You can see for miles around.”
