O ovom mjestu
Built in the 1890s, the John Rylands Library is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful libraries in the world; both the building and its collections are of outstanding international significance.
For those who set eyes on Deansgate's The John Rylands Library for the first time, 'library' might not be the first word that comes to mind. This masterpiece of Victorian Gothic architecture looks more like a castle or cathedral.
This is an incredibly beautiful Neo-Gothic building, built to house an incredible collection of books. It's free to get into and is just a 10min walk from the flat. Apparently they wanted to film Harry Potter here, but it wasn't big enough. Peaky Blinders and Darkest Hour filmed here though.
Neo-gothic library (part of University of Manchester) with rare books & manuscripts, a cafe & shop.
