Calle ocho is one of the most historic and cultural parts of the city. With live music and theatre performances, authentic Cuban cuisine, street dominoes bars and cigar shops.
The Calle Ocho Walk of Fame is mimicked after the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was constructed to recognize and celebrate Latin stars with ties to South Florida. The first star was positioned on the Latin Walk of Fame in 1987 in honor of Celia Cruz, a famous Cuban salsa dancer.
