Open Thursday and Sunday in the summer time, this small museum is a hidden gem. The home of the famous photographer Lee Miller and her husband, Roland Penrose; it was a place often visited by members of the surrealist movement and contains some fascinating works of art. Look our for Picasso's hand painted tile in the kitchen or the photo of him standing at the local signpost.

Only open on Sundays, this bespoke museum is dedicated to Lee Miller, the amazing WW2 photographer. She photographed extraordinary wartime scenes and this museum is dedicated to that phase of her life, plus her wider creative life story which is so very interesting alongside artist Roland Penrose. An extraordinary exhibition and experience. DO GO TO THIS - ITS A HIGHLIGHT!

If you’re interested in photography and the arts in general then this - along with Charleston- is a must. The American World War II photographer (and ex Vogue model!) - Lee Miller - settled in this gorgeous farmhouse having married an Englishman. Her career was extraordinary. Many of her photographs are on display. Fascinating. Only open on Sunday in the Summer months.
