Our local village serves us well for everyday basics, with a Co-op, greengrocer, chemist, deli, bakery and coffee shops

Local village where you can get all essential supplies. It is a fairly busy road but has quaint buildings. Has a small supermarket and plenty of local shops, post office and pharmacy.

This is our local village which has a pretty historic High St with a baker, butcher, deli, Co-op, cafes, pubs, gift shops, hairdressers and beauticians. It's a lovely walk across the fields - past Danny House (a very posh old people's home in an Elizabethan manor, where the then War Cabinet drafted the WW1 armistice) and a couple of fields full of alpacas which our children always loved. Turn right out of the barn and take the footpath on the left just past the red post box.

Albourne itself is a very peaceful little village but Hurstpierpoint is just a 20min walk or 5 minute drive. Hurstpierpoint has all your day to day amenities, including coffee shops, butchers, a coop, off licence etc. Washbrooks farm is also a great visit with children under 12.
