Panagia Kryfti can (and better to) be accessed boat from Vatera or Plomari. This hidden bay has a small yet picturesque beach which is worth visiting. There is a small chapel of Virgin Mary hidden amongst the rocks. Legend has it that a maiden sought refuge from the Ottomans and settled there.
