This restaurant overlooks the Ancient Theater. It offers traditional food and alcohol, is very close to our residence and whenever the Ohrid Summer Festival is on, you can enjoy the music as well as the view of the lake. The restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and dinner.

GLADIATOR
14 Brakja MiladinovciThis restaurant overlooks the Ancient Theater. It offers traditional food and alcohol, is very close to our residence and whenever the Ohrid Summer Festival is on, you can enjoy the music as well as the view of the lake. The restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Once at St Kaneo, you can climb down stairs to the very shore where you will find an array of cafes and restaurants. Some of these have a platform built so you literally sit on the lake as you enjoy the views. We particularly recommend the ambiance of the restaurant Letna Terasa- this is a great place to grab a coffee in the morning, lunch in the afternoon or dinner or drinks in the quiet evening.

Kaneo Plaosnik PatekaOnce at St Kaneo, you can climb down stairs to the very shore where you will find an array of cafes and restaurants. This monument is a popular tourist destination renovated in the early 2000's and was the capital of the 10th century First Bulgarian Empire and also the home of Phillip II. The entry fee is relatively inexpensive and from here you can see a 360 degree view of all the surroundings- including most parts of Ohrid and you can even look across the lake into Albania. This fortress has great views in the daytime, but also features a great sunset.

Between 12 July and 20 August the Ohrid Summer Festival is hosted here, and often features international musical acts among other things. It is also a cool place to take photos in, regardless of the season in which you visit.

It is also a cool place to take photos in, regardless of the season in which you visit.
Getting Around
Most out of town or international buses arrive here, and this location is about a 5 minute taxi ride. We recommend catching a taxi since the fares are cheap, and public transport is somewhat lacking and certainly does not drive up to the Old Town. Try to ask the taxi driver to start their meter so you avoid paying extra.
