Visit pcyc.org.au for a timetable of events and activities at the Bowen PCYC. If you are not yet a PCYC member, consider joining while you are in Bowen to take advantage of these social activities. Activities held by the Bowen PCYC include: Friday night skating, Zumba, Bingo, Indoor Hockey, Soccer, Social Squash, Kinder Gym, Boxing for Fitness, Basketball, Hula Dance, Hip Hop, Gymnastics and Play Time.

Mother Beddock is a large balancing rock in Horseshoe Bay near Bowen. It is the star attraction of the Mother Beddock Walking Track. It has a panoramic view over Rose Bay and outlying islands. To get there, start at the end of Murray Bay Rd, the trail will be about 500m. Alternatively, start at the end of Banyan St in Rose Bay, just up from the caravan park, the trail will be 860m. To access the climbs, scramble left around Mother Beddick, then right and all the way down. Walk right around the face
