The local resevoir offers a number of trails through the hillsides and brush, as well as, very manageable, easy to walk main trail that offers a great tour of the entire circumference of the resevoir. Also, great for kid activities like paddle boating, canoing, and kayaking.

We are Peruvian, so you can imagine how excited we were to see a Peruvian restaruant pop up in Lafayette. I love seafood, and highly recommend Barranco's "pescado a lo macho"

Walnut Creek is a short 5 minute drive from Lafayette or a 2 minute BART ride, and you can ride the free bus from the Walnut Creek BART station into downtown (look for the green bus).

*there are 90 shops and restaurants in Broadway Plaza ranging from mid to high end*
There you can also enjoy a movie at the Century Theater, which offers fully reclinable chairs.
