To buy groceries, go to Buje. There is a vegetable market, small grocery shops, but also Konzum, the most visited supermarket. Open between 8 am and 8 pm through the week and on Sundays between 8 am and 1 pm. During the summer season, the opening hours are extended until 10 pm.

Groznjan retains the charm of its 12th century origins with a typical medieval layout, houses are built very close one to another, streets are cobbled, with lots of small alleys, and the town is walled. Groznjan is today a town of artists: numerous galleries are lining the narrow streets. Small shops and cafes are tempting from old buildings. Home to a popular jazz festival.
