In my opinion the best Indian tandoori-style restaurant in the city, and very local! Excellent Punjabi & Bengali style food cooked with fresh ingredients - unlike the generic greasy fare that too many substandard restaurants do. Eat in or takeaway.

Manchester's historic significance as the world's first industrial city is vividly on display in its magnificent 19th century buildings in the signature Victorian Gothic style, but these now sit side by side with some exciting 21st century architecture too. Seek out the places that were home to world-famous scientific discoveries, cultural revolutions and literary icons. Manchester is particularly famed for some astonishingly beautiful libraries, and in the midst of all the city bustle there are peaceful spots by the canals, and Medieval gems from a quieter age.
