If you are fussy about your coffee, this is the best place to visit! This is the coffee we supply in our properties, and for good reason. My personal favourite is the Rave White (flat white).

A local's favourite and the best breakfast in town. The huevos rancheros are to die for! This place is a 10 minute walk from the apartment, and away from the more touristy areas, so you get a real sense of how the locals live. It is very busy, so early is better. Line ups are common, but it turns people over fairly quickly. There's a great outdoor patio for the warmer months.

Pinky's Diner at the Canmore Legion is Canmore's secret budget dinner spot! They have the best fish and chips, and the best burgers (bacon cheeseburger my favourite) for a reasonable price (quite hard to come by in Canmore!). Visit on Friday night for bingo, or play snooker/billiards and darts. This is a local favourite, and quite a different vibe to the more upmarket Canmore offerings. Well known food critic John Gilchrist gave it an 8/10!

New to Canmore, and tucked away in the industrial area, this brewery is worth a visit if you like craft beer and a chance to escape the crowds. There's no food here, but you can order the excellent Red Rock Pizza and have it delivered to the brewery!

A lovely introduction to hiking in Canmore that suits all abilities. Only a few minutes out of town, and a relatively short hike that rewards you with two beautiful blue lakes and an amazing view of the Bow Valley. And if you like rock climbing (either to watch or participate) there's tonnes on the go at Grassi Lakes. This is a popular trail so if you seek peace and quiet, it's probably a little busy for you. But it's a great walk nevertheless, and a great way to acclimatize yourself to our altitude without too much exertion. **NB: The upper lake is closed July 10 - August 31st due to roadwork on the upper Spray Lakes Road. The lower lake is beautiful, it's still worth the walk.

This is a great, easy mountain bike trail that starts from the Spray Valley (10 minutes drive from Canmore) and finishes at the Banff Springs hotel. 17km long, it is double track all the way, making it relatively easy for a less experienced mountain biker. End your trip with a cocktail at the Banff Springs or Park Distillery, then put your bike on the Roam transit bus and travel back to Canmore in style. Or you can utilize the services of one of the many bike transfer companies in town (they'll take you to the start of the trail, and pick you up in Banff), or if you feel fit, bike back to Canmore via the Legacy Trail. Time your trip on the bus for the morning if you can, it gets very busy!

A fun paved biking trail that runs between Canmore and Banff. At around 16km long, it's a good workout, especially if you go from Canmore to Banff (more uphill). Hire bikes from Gear Up on Bow Valley Trail if you don't have any with you.
