Charritos on Blvd east - Mexican food a bit pricey but you have a great view of NYC. 974 J F Kennedy Blvd E, Weehawken, NJ. It's a restaurant with a full bar of drink. The view is great of NYC, ask for a table near the windows.

Iconic Times square is just mins away from West New York, there you can walk around see the sites, see where the New Year's Eva ball is dropped. This area is always crowded with tourist. If you want to avoid the crowds show up early like 8 am. If not, then, you will be with other tourist.

Parks & Nature
When you arrive and want to stretch out your legs. Take a five min walk down from Palisade Avenue towards JF Kennedy Blvd E to see the great views of the NYC Skyline.
The best time is around sunset, 5 pm onwards because the sun reflects on all of the NYC buildings. Hands down it's the best veiw of the NYC skyline.

If you want to do some quick and good cloth shopping, then I recommend going to TJ Maxx on River Road in Edgewater. It's about a 8 min Uber or Lyft drive from the house. Not open on Sundays.

Four blocks away, Extra Super Market is a supermarket that has all you need for produce, meats, non-preishables, etc. They are open every day until 9 PM.

Walk to 60th and Bergenline Ave, in front of the Dunkin Donuts.
That is a bus stop to catch either NJ Transit buses (159, 156) to head to NYC Port Authority. You can pay cash when you board the bus.
The second option is the Jitney buses look for their sign to say 'New York City', because similar buses go to Journey Square in Jersey City.
This is a shorter walk for you from the house with lots of bus options.
I do warn you it will take longer into the city because there are more stops along the way because it's a main street for clothing stores and resturants.
