Closest place to get breakfast, about 9 miles from the cabin. Very nice couple owns and runs it. Good food and conversations with mix of locals and weekenders. Fantastic views across valley next to Toccoa River.

Closest proper restaurant, about 12 miles from the cabin. Right on the river. Always crowded on weekends, but hanging out by the river is a good way to spend time waiting for a table.

Drinks & Nightlife
Nothing fancy to look at on the outside, but inside filled with lots of decorations brought over from family's closed Irish Pub in Ireland. Ask owner and former Priest about what brought him to Blue Ridge. Not sure if it is all true, but great story.

Downtown Blue Ridge is filled with shops and restaurants. Great place to stroll around, but get there before they roll up the carpets at 5.

Seems location on the map is not accurate. This is located at corner of Big Creek Rd and Hwy 52. Closest place to get groceries and essentials, about 12 miles from the cabin. Can go additional 5 miles or so into Ellijay if need full grocery shopping at the Ingles or Wal-Mart.

Drove by this place for couple years before I realized it was still open. Throwback to old, rural country store. Simple, been there forever. Stop in for a coke and a candy bar. Or, if you want to go old school, like the store, get a coke in a bottle and buy peanuts. Pour peanuts in the bottle and drink/eat. That is way we did it when I was a kid at places like this.

Parks & Nature
About 8 miles from the cabin. The last 3 miles along Noontootla Creek is one of my favorite drives in Georgia. Beautiful rocky creek along right side of Forest Service Road 58. Can get pretty bumpy in summer. Hike to falls is easy mile and worth it. Parking area is good place to stay cool and hang out by the creek.

About 8 miles from the cabin. The last 3 miles along Noontootla Creek is one of my favorite drives in Georgia. Beautiful rocky creek along right side of Forest Service Road 58. Can get pretty bumpy in summer. Hike to falls is easy mile and worth it. Parking area is good place to stay cool and hang out by the creek.

Tubing down the Toccoa River is one of our favorite summertime activities. There are two places you can rent from at Shallowford Bridge (On Aska Rd, near Toccoa Riverside Restaurant). You can also take a longer float and rent from the Toccoa Valley Campground.

Tubing or Kayaking on the Cartecay is a bit more adventurous than floating down the Toccoa River. It is a little more shaded and has more cabins and houses on banks, but also has much better rapids, especially when the water is up.

If visiting during the fall the festival is a good time. The various apple houses on Hwy 52 are good for a visit as well.
