A newer thing, but cool bohemian beach vibes in Burlington. Can rent paddle boards, play some volleyball, find a hammock and read, etc. There are plenty of shady spots and a sandy beach for kids. Admission fee is a little steep, but for a whole day, it's worth it.

Super lovely place to land for a morning or afternoon; rent a kayak, go for a little hike, picnic or just lounge on the grass and look at the lake. If warm, this is some of the best swimming in Lake Champlain because it's deep off the dock and seems to get less algae than other beaches.

Great moderate trail, a more gradual climb than Mt. Philo, but longer hike- can get annoyingly muddy if it's been rainy, so I'd avoid during wet periods.

We look out at Camel's Hump, so if you are up for a 4 hour hike with elevation (one of the tallest mountains in Vermont) this is a good one. Also can get busy in summer and on weekends, so go early!
