This is a good outdoor space to visit to get a glimpse of Tanga town life towards the end of the day. There is an Indian restaurant (Sea Breeze) right opposite, for delicious meals (service does take a while though, so you may want to order before you go to the park).

This place has the best pizza this side of the coast, and also serves fantastic home cooked Indian food. As of late, the have added home-made ice cream to their menu!

The cheapest beer is found here, for sure! You'll catch a mix of Tanga residents, expatriates, and traveling sailors here. The food is also pretty ok, and comes at a good price.

Shopping
This is just one of many markets in Tanga; this is probably the easiest to find and is conveniently located right opposite the town's first supermarket. Other markets (Ngamiani) is on Street Number 13 and caters more for the "local" clientele.
