Your State Park Pass included in your stay will give you free admission (for all persons in one vehicle)! 10 minutes from the house, this State Parks has dozens of trails, a lake with seasonal paddle boat/kayak rentals and small sandy beach, streams, and beautiful views. Plenty of family friendly trails! We take our little one often. :)

This State Park admission is also included with your state park pass! A 45 minute drive away, this beautiful state park has a challenging peak to reach with magnificent views well worth it! More family friendly trails as well. A small pristine mountain lake for swimming!

A University!? The campus is beautiful- but the real highlight is the lake with a huge walking trail and disc golf course! Enjoy lots of ducks and geese and picnic spots. A beautiful rose garden. Right off the Swamp Rabbit Trail too! Bring your bikes? A 15-20m bike ride from our house :)

Hwy. 276 (Poinsett Hwy.) to Furman University. From main gate, go 0.75 mile around circle, then down the mall. Go one quarter way around second circle, then right around campus housing. Park in University Center parking lot by the lake. Walk down the road (lake on the right), past the cul-de-sac to the Swamp Rabbit trail. Cross the trail and through the gate to the 1st tee on the right.
