If you are planning to eat here, I would suggest you book well in advance. They have fantastic fine dining, delicious food and fine wine. This can be on the pricey side, so be sure to read the menu before you book! If often quite warm in there too (open fire place) so wear something comfortable

Up the top of View Street is one of the most renouned pubs, well priced bar menu, and directly across from Art Gallery and QEO so could be a good option if you have something else on afterwards.

Bendigo boasts the largest chinese dragon in the southern hemisphere. It is super special around the Easter Procession to have so many people attend our town. This is right next to Rosiland Park and a site not to be missed!

Having undergone a very expensive and extensive renovation, the Bendigo District RSL pays respect to the fallen, past and current members daily at 6pm at the playing of the ode at the RSL. There are many tanks and war machinery on display for those interestedt out the back

Beautiful spot to visit as is nearly always hosting an exhibition as one of the largest galleries in Regional Centres. Right in the CBD so walking distance from where you are right now, not to mention lots of cafes for a coffee along the way

This is a great spot to have a coffee, go for a stroll, take the kids to the playground or enjoy a brunch at the BoardWalk restaurant. A safe spot, not too busy, but very enjoyable

Ubers & Bendigo Taxi App + local pub courtesy busses!
Ubers are obviously one of the best options for modern transport, however on Sundays they can prove difficult to reach. So Bendigo Taxi App is your best way for tracking GPS drivers.
That being said, if you are looking to go to a local pub, many of them (One Tree Hill Hotel or All Seasons Hotel) have a courtesy bus available so if you call them they may be able to give you a ride!

Trains to other towns!
if you are staying at either of our Airbnb properties, Williamson St is walking distance, and Moray is just a short cab ride to the Bendigo train station, and as you may stay for some time to check out other Regional Centres, this would be the best way to commute. Approx 80 minutes to Echuca, or 30 minutes to Castlemaine, you can explore the region at your leisure, not to mention stop at many of the bars and not worry about the drive home!
And if you are coming up from Melbourne or wanting to visit the city, trains and busses commute daily approx 2 hours each way!
