100% Vegan, Spanish Tapas Bar. Don't try to go without a reservation, because it's tiny and almost always full, but the thing is the owners are Spanish and they don't pick up the phone :) Still, a must go in my opinion, whether or not you're vegan.

This place is the best Ramen place that I could discover till now. Again, probably it won't impress a North American, but still it is a very decent option. One advantage is, it is close to the heart of Kreuzberg (Kottbusser Damm).

Turkish Döner is a thing in Berlin, and this place is by far the most notorious one. Small kiosk serving thousands every day. Almost a tourist attraction. The entrance is a bit weird, you take the elevator and climb on top this mall and enter a parking lot and start asking yourself what the hell is happening. But then it is worth it.

If you want to use Underground (U-bahn)
U-Mehringdamm is 7 mins walk from home, and it is at the intersection of U7 and U6.
U6 will take you to the official city center (Mitte) in two-three stops, where a lot of tourist attractions are located (such as the Checkpoint Charlie, the Jewish Memorial, etc.).
Using instead the U7 line will either take you to the heart of the Kreuzkölln region (Hermannstraße stop) in the east, or to Schöneberg-Wilmersdorf in the west.
