There is also a long history here. Next door to P+H is the original attraction of this tiny burg, the Pioneertown "Mane Street"-- an assortment of Old-West themed buildings built in part by Roy Rogers in the 1940s, so that he and his cowboy buddies like Gene Autry could have a place near Hollywood to shoot their Westerns and have a good time. Since then, musicians from Paul McCartney, Robert Plant, Patti Smith, Paul Cauthen, Circle Jerks, Wynonna Judd, Neko Case, Lucinda Williams and many many more, have graced the P+H stage. The legendary bar has become and unmissable desert destination with a vibe that can't be matched.
