During the day the cafe is usually busy with students studying and hanging out or the local inhabitants having their morning coffee + newspaper. This is the biggest market of Europe that is once a month, usually the first weekend of the month. But l suggest that you check out the website before: ijhallen.nl
Its a great stroll to get some funky items. Otherwise there are lots of people selling clothes as well.
Try to go as early as possible, before all the good things are gone. Note that the entry is 5 euros.
