Houston is vibrant, multi-cultural and filled with fun for everyone. You can head to the Space Center for a unique experience or explore some of the fabulous museums like Natural Science, MFAH, The Menil Collection, or the Children's Museum. You'll find theater, comedy clubs and professional sports. Did we mention the multinational flavor of Houston and the international cuisine or the fabulous music scene? There is definitely something for everyone in Houston.

Antiquing
Old Town Spring is a great spot to go for shopping and for dinner. It closes early on weeknights but is busy on Saturdays. It is popular for antiquing, other cute stores, and some fun restaurants - Elm and Magnolia is my favorite but I also enjoy Wunsche Bros. If you like BBQ, go to Corkskrew and enjoy some of the best.

Old Town Spring
403 Main StOld Town Spring is a great spot to go for shopping and for dinner. It closes early on weeknights but is busy on Saturdays. It is popular for antiquing, other cute stores, and some fun restaurants - Elm and Magnolia is my favorite but I also enjoy Wunsche Bros. If you like BBQ, go to Corkskrew and enjoy some of the best.

If you want a spot with some craft beers and good food, this is a small but fun spot in Tomball. It is only a 15 minute drive away and Tomball is fun to walk around and explore. It has that small town feel if if you go there twice they will recognize you and probably remember your name... See if they have any live music on at Main Street Crossing or the Empty Glass Wine Bar

308 Market StIf you want a spot with some craft beers and good food, this is a small but fun spot in Tomball. It is only a 15 minute drive away and Tomball is fun to walk around and explore. It has that small town feel if if you go there twice they will recognize you and probably remember your name... See if they have any live music on at Main Street Crossing or the Empty Glass Wine Bar

It is next to a Subway, MOD Pizza, McDonald's, Taco Bell, and Popeye's. It is handy to have these so close to home within a 2 minute drive. At the other end the neighborhood are even more restaurants. You won't go hungry !

Of course, there are piles of other options in the same strip mall. Bellagreen, which is next door, is also fabulous. Both Ambriza and Bellagreen are 'nice' places for adults. Ambriza has a nicer atmosphere for a 'date night' kind of place but is also popular with families.

Houston and Spring have great ethnic foods and Thai is a favorite for many including my family. This is nearby and good but not licensed. Aloy Aloy is another nearby favorite if you're coming from the north. If you want Thai food with a nicer atmosphere head to Charm, which is also great but a touch further away.

This is a Louisiana based sports bar chain. It is a sports bar but it is also clean and the food is surprisingly good with a little Cajun flare to it. Go figure you could get sports, clean, and good food all in one place, right? This is also an area where there are a ton of other restaurants. (Uncle Julio's-Mexican, La Madeleine-French, Willie's-Texas, Five Guys Burgers, Jason's Deli, Freddy's steak burgers-fast food, Chili's, and so on and so forth.

Up for a date night at a wine bar? This place has as fabulous wines and great food in Vintage Park where there are a number of other restaurants to consider too. Cellar 24 in the Woodlands is another great wine bar that isn't a dinner spot if you want another option for just wine.

Water Sports - Kayak Rentals on the Lake
Want to get out on some water on a hot day? Riva Row is about 20 minutes away on Lake Woodlands. You can rent kayaks, water bikes, or stand up paddle boards here. If you want the same experience in a more nature centric setting, drive a little further up to North Lake Conroe Paddling Company where you can rent kayaks and go out on the calm part of Lake Conroe. It is beautiful!

There are a ton of walking trails within a 1 hour radius of Houston but this is my closest and favorite. Gleannloch Farms is good for walking in the neighborhood but this is where I go to for a change and for nature.

Athletes? We have a sports complex with a pool, beach volleyball court, baseball diamonds, sports fields, kid's playground, and walking-jogging trails, and pickle ball. This is all at one location. Within the neighborhood, we also have 6 tennis courts, two elementary schools where kids play basketball or do lacrosse 'wall ball', two other pools, and canoes available for a nominal fee. There is also a full gym and the neighborhood itself is great for walking in. You're probably going to enjoy some of the fabulous restaurants nearby but there are lots of ways to stay active while traveling. This is one of the main reasons I moved to this neighborhood.

Golf anyone? Spring and the surrounding areas have a lot of golf clubs. This one is right in the neighborhood. Windrose and Longwood are two other clubs nearby.
