Loch Lomond is such a beautiful place!!
A peaceful and calm lake in southern Scotland. This 22.5 mile long Loch was carved out of the earth by melting glaciers at the end of the last ice age. A 1 hour boat trip around part of the loch is available from Balloch.
Balloch Castle and Country Park provides a pleasant walk along the south end of the lake.
Definitely worth a day trip from Glasgow, about 1/2 hour by train .

You can go around the reserve or take the track over the road on to Peaton Hill which has spectacular views of the area
