Chinese / Szechuan restaurant that serves both American style and authentic foods. There are some wild things on the menu like Braised Pork Intestines with Tofu Pudding. We like the Kung Pao tofu and the shredded pork in garlic sauce. This place also delivers very quickly.

Less touristy than Central Park, but still lovely. Walk up to 79 street and have a burger and a beer at the Boat Basin Cafe and watch the sun set over the Hudson River. Great place for families. (Not open in winter.)

This park runs up and down the entire island of Manhattan. Rent a bike from the Citibike station on 70 Street and Amsterdam, and ride all the way down to Battery Park to see the Statue of Liberty.
