Just because you want something quick and easy doesn't mean it can't be the best, most beloved spots in the neighborhood. So whether for a simple lunch or maybe a light(er) dinner -- these no frill locales are at least my personal favorites. Note: all have take-out options, some are take-out only, plan accordingly.

Not every restaurant on this list is pricey, but do expect a more accommodating and catered service than the quick Chinatown noodle shop! Anticipate a little more time, a full dinner experience, and know that you won't just be sitting with tourists but residents as well.
