Ballard is a local treat that offers excellent dining, happy hours, cobblestone streets, and a sunday farmers market. Close to the Puget Sound, you can stroll to the Ballard locks and see a Salmon ladder, the Nordic museum which founded the area, and countless amazing restaurants. A few include:
- The Ballard Cut: Chef/Owner Tommy is very welcoming and offers amazing Whiskeys, meats, and company. Highly recommend for a fun date night.

- Serious Pie: If you're looking to re-fall in love with pizza, this is the place to go. They offer unique flavors that you would never think about!

Belltown always has my heart and is the PERFECT location for a day trip. Close to Pikes Place market, Belltown is a neighborhood that has it all.

Want to support local artists and see the center of Seattle? Check out Pikes Place Market. Highly recommend Maximilian for some French food, Matts at the Market for Seafood, and the Pink Door for an incredible dining experience.

If you like fried chicken be prepared for this restaurant to ruin all other fried chicken for you, because it will be hard to find better. Heaven Sent is Ezells sister company, and is Oprahs #1 fried chicken place in the US.
Highly recommend ordering the "Half & half tenders" which will give you a mix of spicy and original recipe friend chicken, two rolls, and 2 dipping sauces of your choice.
Great for lunch, dinner, hangovers, or treating yourself :)

This hole in the wall North Seattle staple was recently voted the best Sub in Washington.
Some fan favorites are the funky bird, firecracker, and the chicken ceasar. They're also vegetarian friendly :)

The lightrail is the best form of public transportation, starting in SeaTac and taking you all the way to Northgate (the new training center for the Seattle Kraken)
It stops in UDistrict, Downtown, Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square, and many other locations making it easy to get around the city without a car

If you're driving in Seattle and want to park on the street, first download the PaybyPhone app, to easily find parking, pay for parking, and be reminded when parking ends.
ALSO, do not leave items in your car when visiting Downtown or major areas. Seattle is a large metropolitan city and theft is a part of that. Protect yourself and ensure nothing is visible when leaving your car.
