We've eaten at a lot of catfish houses, but nothing has ever managed to top Jojo's for us. A scenic 45 minute drive through mostly National Forest will lead you to this little hideaway on the White River just outside of historic Mountain View, AR. Whether grilled or fried, this fish is our #1. Stop and explore Blanchard Springs on the way, ride horses at the OK Trading Post, or catch live music on the Mountain View town Square on the weekends.

A scenic 45 minute drive through mostly National Forest will lead you to this little hideaway on the White River just outside of historic Mountain View, AR. Whether grilled or fried, this fish is our #1. Stop and explore Blanchard Springs on the way, ride horses at the OK Trading Post, or catch live music on the Mountain View town Square on the weekends.

You'll travel into the high country to reach this long time favorite and pass through some of the neatest old towns and communities. Falling Water Falls is a favorite swim spot, but if you're not into swimming, just the views and photo ops along the way are worth the trip.

A day spent in Rush never disappoints! Take a step back in time as you tour a loop of the remains of what was once a booming mining town in the hollows just above the Buffalo River. As you walk from site to site reading the history behind each one, you can't help but try to transport yourself to that time and place and visualize it in it's heyday. Located far from modern day civilization, scattered remains and mere traces are all that remain for the most part to tell the story of this once bustling hotspot.

Family owned and operated since 1966, the Kenda Drive In has been a weekend hotspot for our entire lives. Offering current new releases when available and sometimes and old favorite, the Kenda is a must have experience. The concession stand has some of the locals favorite "fast food ", and you'll want to get in line early (summer lines can be LOOONG.) We suggest avoiding Friday and Saturday nights, unless you have no other choice. Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (when they run those) are much less congested. Take your lawn chairs and a Frisbee, and get ready for a night to remember!

Here you will find unique treasures from local artists to get that perfect gift or souviner from your trip. The owner is a super fun lady who even hosts private paint parties as well as several other open to the public events throughout the year. Be sure to put this stop on your itenirary!

Here you will find unique treasures from local artists to get that perfect gift or souviner from your trip. The owner is a super fun lady who even hosts private paint parties as well as several other open to the public events throughout the year. Be sure to put this stop on your itenirary!
We love visiting our local library. They offer large assortment of literature, a very informative geneology department, a very nice children's library and meeting room with wi-fi access. Youth summer activity and reading programs are held weekly and are free to all. The adjacent park/playground offers a fenced area with lots of outdoor recreation oppotunity for kids and is part of the Hattie House Youth Center, a space dedicated to area kids. The Hattie House has a board game room, ping pong and air hockey table, arts and crafts room and offers snacks to children after 3pm. Youth under 9 must be accopanied by an adult. There is no cost or membership required to attend this facility.
