A bar that’s easily overlooked but not easily forgotten, with a massive seasonal rotation of Michigan beers on tap and in cans. The burger and sweet potato fries are my favorite everyday menu item, but their brunch is also worth the visit!

An out of this world Yemeni coffee shop. Mofawar is one of my favorite coffee drinks. Don’t miss their pistachio milk cake or bee bread— their pastries and desserts are awesome!

Once again voted the best museum in the USA, the DIA is full of works you grew up seeing, from Diego Rivera’s ‘Detroit Industry’ murals to Van Gogh’s ‘Postman’ and many, many more. Their contemporary exhibitions show of some of the world’s best photography and visual art. And the beautiful Kresge Court is the perfect place for a coffee, lunch, or glass of wine when they’re open late on Friday evenings.
