Ghent is a marvelous city. Its extensive history that stretches back to the Celtic era makes it one of the most influential cities in Europe. Today it is one of the most favored cities in Belgium. Known for it's medieval monuments, beautiful walks , a variety of parks , countless pubs with hundreds of different kind of beers you will not find anywhere in the world! This city provides a communal and hospitable feeling to its visitors. The community of Ghent invests a lot of time and effort in making sure that its tourists have an unforgettable experience. Many have lost their hearts in this warm and cosy city!

Graslei and Korenlei are the most important historical docks in the city. Today it is home to the headquarters of several offices that provide tours by boat. Definitely recommend doing one of these tours when the sun is out! These will take you all around the city. Truly a unique experience! Today it is also a popular place for people of all ages who enjoy relaxing at the water side with good company and some drinks!

The Werregarenstraat is in my opinion by far one of the coolest streets in all of Belgium. Filled with unique graffiti arts. This is truly a sight for the art-minded traveller!

The Werregarenstraat is in my opinion by far one of the coolest streets in all of Belgium. Filled with unique graffiti arts. This is truly a sight for the art-minded traveller!

With this card you will be able to visit/enter certain sights and museums for free get a free boat ride across the Leie , hiring a bike for free , or using local transport or the watertaxi for free.
Just make out for yourself in advance what it is you would like to do visiting Ghent. There's a city card for 48 hours for 38EUR and there's a 72 hours card for 44EUR.
You can get this card at the Info Center situated in the Sint-Veerleplein 5 in Ghent. This is merely a 5 minute walk from the studio you will be staying in!

If you're a visitor to town then we advise to plan out whatever you want to do in the cultural/historical centre. All of the restaurants, bars , museums , monuments , and sights are situated here.
Go to the Info Center @ Veerleplein 5 and get yourself a map of the city.. You know what get yourself some brochures too while you are at it because this city has a lot more to offer then you can imagine.
