This is a hidden gem. The fired chicken is the best I have ever had. It takes a while to make so call in ahead! Sit on the tables outside and watch the fisherman come and go. A very local scene, quiet and authentic!

Similar to the Precipice but about half the size. A great adventure for the whole family. Be sure to continue to "the bowl" from the top. Its a beautiful little pond. from there its a mellow hike back to the car or even better, a dip in sand beach!

Sargent Mountain is the second highest peak on MDI and its about 1 million times cooler than Cadillac. I recommend going up the Hadlock brook or Maple springs train and down the Grandgent trail. One of the best hikes in Acadia!

A great mellow hike out onto a peninsula passing through beautiful birch groves and powerful rocky coasts. A great flat hike that is right next door to Sand Beach. It can be crowded.

This is an amazing hike with a 1.1 mile section that is fairly steep. During this section there is a stairway of granite built in to the mountain . It is very incredible engineering and its like Lord of the Rings! Once your at the top there are several options on how to return to the car. Close to two great swimming holes and way quieter than many hikes on the east side of the island. A must do! The total hike is about 2.5, 3.5 or 5 miles depending on which loop

This 6 mile loop is the most popular carriage road loop for biking. It is very beautiful and even though busy, worth checking out! It can be linked up with the 3 mile Witch hole loop to make for a longer mission.

This place is great for a fancy cocktail with the best view in town. Sit on the lawn overlooking the ocean or poolside. One of my favorite spots for one drink before dinner! Espensive but the view alone is worth it.
