Dalavich - activities on your doorstep

The cabin will provide you with the perfect base for an easy, restful and relaxing holiday whilst there is plenty to do for those that enjoy day trips or require more of an adventure. We have pulled together some information with web links for you to read before your arrival to assist with your holiday planning. Walking The cabin is just a short 2 minute stroll to picturesque lochside walks and magical Oakwood forest tracks. With over 100 miles of forest trails there is plenty walking and easy to severe cycle routes to explore. You will enjoy peace and tranquility and have fun spotting local wildlife including red squirrel and if you are lucky osprey. For those looking for a challenge you can bag a munro and climb Ben Cruachan and Ben Lui. You also have permission to launch your own boat or canoe from the beach situated nearby. Fishing rights within the cabin site are included in your stay. Loch Awe and Loch Avich have a good reputation for Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Char, Perch, Pike and the odd Salmon. The current record is for a trout weighing in at 31lbs.
