The closest beach shack to your apartment, owned by Merlin's brother. Enjoy a relaxing breakfast with a sea view in the morning, as well as lunch, dinner, and cocktails throughout the day. Good quality food at a reasonable price. Note that during the rainy season, the shack moves further inland while still offering a sea view.

If you like ice cream....look no further! This place is awesome. Delicious ice cream and the coffee is also one of the best in this area. We love the dark chocolate sorbet flavour! Even though water based, the flavour is sooooo good! 😃

For any beer lovers this is a nice place to visit. It is a new brewery in Candolim and it is part of the Taj hotel. We liked the beer and food. The brewery has indoor AC seating on the bar and a lot of outdoor seating in their garden. It is nice and modern.

Newly open in 2023, this is our new favourite cafe in Panjim. It is located in the colourful Fontainhas neighbourhood. It reminds us of cafe’s in big cities. A place to lounge, enjoy nice coffee and munch on lovely foods. The millet salad and Xacuti salad are super yummy.

A very nice ‘shack’ on the beach of Anjuna. Designed by a famous Sri Lankan architect this place is beautiful with awesome sea views. Honestly we mostly come here for a coffee or a drink :D

Beautiful cafe in a Yoga and Pilates studio. We enjoyed our coffee and breakfast at this soothing place. The smoothie bowl was great with delicious homemade granola. Their menu is creative with great names for their dishes like “I am Powerful”, “I am Joy”, etc.

If you are feeling adventurous you can walk across the Baga cliff via the rocks to visit the secret beach - Bagjuna. It is quite a walk and caution needs to be taken on the rocks, do not go during the rainy season.

To have a most awesome view of the Chapora and Morjim bays visit the viewpoint near Badem church. Once at the church drive a bit more towards the sea side, you will see the viewpoint there. It is basically a parking on a cliff.

Old quarries in Ashvem fill up with water during the monsoon season. We heard it is nice to swim, but can get crowded. We have not visited these in the monsoon time yet but are looking forward to it.

The Fontainhas neighbourhood in Panjim is the place to do a city walk in Goa. Beautiful Portuguese influenced architecture. This place is up and coming with new cool shops, cafes and hostels.

We love waterfalls! In Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary there are two :D Savri waterfall is the easiest accessible. From the gate of the park a 3 km bike ride and then a 20 minute trek. The last part of the trek consists of steep steps down for 10 minutes or so. It is a lovely waterfall. Be early to have the place to yourself. The park opens at 8 am. Mainapi waterfall is a 1 km bike ride and then a two hour trek, again at the end with steep steps and narrow paths for about 20 minutes. This waterfall is Bali in Goa for us. We love it! :D

For us this is one of the best forts in Goa, not because of the fort itself but because of the greenery inside the fort. Yes, we hugged the Banyan trees inside the fort :D Also walking around the fort on the walls you have some spectacular views of the Goa coastline.

Olaulim is a small and quiet village. It has beautiful winding roads and backwaters. It is quite the opposite of Calangute. For a different Goa definitely worth a visit.
