Shopping

The best shopping locations in downtown Montreal and my favourite local brands.
This is a new and popular shopping and lifestyle center. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to spend a few hours here if you need to buy gifts or just want to browse. I recommend checking out the health food store called Avril if you're into that. The centre harbours all of your staple shopping names for shoes, clothing, cosmetics, gifts, etc. You'll find a movie Theatre there with a VIP section that serves food and drinks to your seat. A pastry and bakery shop called Premiere Moisson is a popular location for a baguette or ordering birthday cakes. Next door, you'll find a cheese and pasta store.

Neighbourhoods

Next to the famous old port of Montreal, this is where you go to feel like you're in Europe. Lots of small boutiques for window and souvenir shopping, mid to high end restaurants, 4-star hotels for drinks and cocktails. Once the financial center of an era gone by, a picturesque neighbourhood with plenty of history and old architecture set against the old port of Montreal.

City/town information

This is a small city town just 10 minutes away. It was declared to be one of the twelve provincial heritage sites and a lovely pocket of authentic French and Quebecois restaurants. There is an outdoor farmer's market which is great to stop by in the summer. Some land mark buildings and a lovely church give you a sense of three centuries of history.

This is the capital of the province with a respected political history. Most people pay a visit to the hotel called le Chateau Frontenac, where an important conference was held during WWII welcoming Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt and hosted by the Canadian prime minister William Lyon Mackenzie King. Quebec city sits upon 300 foot cliff and exudes a European aura. It is bordered to the north and east by the Rivière St Charles River, has plenty of boutiques and fine French restaurants.
