Catch the Christmas lights during the month of December or see a free concert at the Tabernacle on Temple Square. Then cross the street and have a tour of the Conference Center.

Take a tour and be sure not to miss the gardens on top of the Conference Center. They were designed to mimic the flora of the Salt Lake Valley. There are mountain trees in stepped planters coming up the east side of the building to represent the mountains and a gradual slope down to the west side of the roof and the grasslands out in the valley.

There is a skate park here and a large green space. There is also more than a mile of level sidewalk around this large park if you want a safe, quiet space to walk or jog.

This park has tennis courts, picnic areas, baseball diamonds, fields and kids play areas. It also is the nearest access to the Jordan River parkway.

This garden does charge a fee to enter, but it is worth it. Take a walk through the manicured gardens and then hike up in to the foothills above the garden. It is gorgeous. They also have outdoor concerts at the garden venue in the summer.
