This is a great place to visit, just a few Kim’s from Galway city. If you love to walk on your own or with family this is the place. You can go for a stroll or a fast walk. The beach is small but loads go to sunbathe or swim. Loads of benches to sit and just look out onto the water. If you walk the promenade it’s tradition to kick the wall at the end. After getting some fresh air there are some lovely restaurants, cafes and bars with food to choose from.

Salthill
This is a great place to visit, just a few Kim’s from Galway city. If you love to walk on your own or with family this is the place. You can go for a stroll or a fast walk. The beach is small but loads go to sunbathe or swim. Loads of benches to sit and just look out onto the water. If you walk the promenade it’s tradition to kick the wall at the end. After getting some fresh air there are some lovely restaurants, cafes and bars with food to choose from.
Forest trail
This is approx 4.4km a great walk, steep at first but so lovely. Certainly gets the cardio steps in. Great views from the look out and only 9 mins from Tuam
For families or people who want to chat and walk, a beautiful forest trail awaits on your door step. As mentioned it’s steep in the beginning but flattens out. At the moment there is a candy cravers truck that serves drinks, ice creams and food, a nice reward at the end of your walk

Kids love it. There is so much to enjoy in the gardens, some fairies too and a lovely cafe also for some treats

If you want to get active and out. This is great for all the family. You rent a wet suit and have 1hr or 2 hrs of fun. Kids guaranteed to sleep after this. I have gone there when my kids were small and I have brought my teenagers there also and they just have fun! If it’s sunny or raining it’s a place to go x this is located 40 mins from our property
