MumFest is a combination of family fun, entertainment, attractions, exhibitors and great food in the beautifully restored setting of historic downtown New Bern and its waterfront. About 100,000 festival-goers enjoyed Mumfestivities in 2019. And, MumFest 2020 promises to be another fabulous fun-filled fall weekend! So be sure to mark your calendar for October 9-11, 2020! Dragon Boat paddlers move in unison, combining strength with teamwork in a boat whose elaborate design originates in ancient China. Dragon Boats are the world’s largest flat water racing canoes, propelled by a crew of 20 plus a drummer and a steersperson. Teamwork is everything in dragon boat racing. Synchronicity is more important than strength.
In addition to the dragon boat racing other activities will include; great food, great music, kids activities, a parade of teams and much, much more for friends and family alike.
