It has a laid back atmosphere with balcony seating or you can just order and eat at the bar. The staff is very friendly, and there's usually live music on the street corner. I love the sautéed crab claws (with bread for the sauce),grilled or raw oysters, and the baked shrimp tortellini. $$

My favorite is the "Peacemaker" (a Po' Boy that's 1/2 fried shrimp and 1/2 fried oyster..dressed of course). You should also try the oyster Rockefeller soup. A warning... sometimes there may be a very long line outside with a long wait. If so...try Felix's across the street which is very similar and just as good. $$

Located in the lower, residential side of the FQ. Locals love this restaurant. It's quirky, romantic, and adorned with hundreds of hand-drawn Mona Lisa's from its many patrons. The pizza is delicious and my favorite pasta is the Seafood Pasta. If there's a wait, just go to the "Golden Lantern" bar across the street and they will text you when your table is ready. $
