so this is a great day trip from lund....get up early and you will be back late. You will need a car or if using public transort you will need to choose what you will see. Leave lund in your car....you head towards simrishamn but take the stolaf route which means you dont go past tossellilia. The first stop is Sankt Olaf Kronovalls slot...walk in the gardens infront of the castle/chateau and be cheeky and venture inside...the interior is fabulous... the next stop if you like apples and apple juice production is kiviks musteri apple manufacturer in kivik but the kivik ice cream shop on the beachfront is worth a visit too. Then go to stenshuvud...if you pass Apotekearns design shop on the way there or on the way to knabackshusen this is worth a visit Apotekearns design near stenshuvud now after moving from simrishamn. To climb stenshuvud you can park in the carpark and go straight up the track for 10 or 15 mins depending on your fitness....but there is a more interestting route.....go to the carpark at stenshuvud....find the ocean and walk on the obvious pathway to the ocean and if in the right place you should see huts and fishing nets etc......take the pathway around anticlockwise around the base of the stenshuvud hill. It take sabout 20 mins and then you will get to a place where you can rejoin the track up to the peak of stenshuvud....hard to get lost as the track going around the base of stenshuvud leads eventually back to the carpark...but i suggest when you see the option to go to the peak of stenshuvud take that route and then descend on the carpark track back to your car. great views from the top and its not hard to walk up. Next go to knabackshusen its a village of old viking houses that were preserved and moved to where they exist now. Park the car near there and walk through the village. The beach here is famous and is in the top 1o beahes of sweden. As you go down to the beach you may see a little hut which is a sauna for locals and on the right one of them is a mini church all with thatched roofs. I suggest on your trip take paper, dry wood and something to bbq as there is a hidden bbq pit right near the beach. If you stand facing the beach and you are at the far right hand thatched roof hut there is a small track that goes only 10 meters along the coast. There is a hidden fireplace there and you can cook food and watch the waves roll in. not many people know its there. There is a nice 10 minute waterfall walk behind mandelmanns ecological farm from SVT show but you need to ask directions to the carpark...its on the roadway behind mandelmanns and you walk from the carpark on the track 5 mins to a waterwheel and a nice waterfall. Also well worth visiting is a spot i discovered on a date with a local girl its called tbisviks beach but there are some local spots to visit from here if you follow these directions and explore.... So tobisvik beach is 5-10 mins north of simrishamn it has a campground ...but you are not going to the campground. Find the raod named Varhallavagen and opposite this there is a turn off the main road to tobisvik beach....dont park in the main sealed road surface carpark i suggest you take a sort of hidden metal road that leads off this carpark towards the beach. There are 15 carparks right at the beach. Drive slowly down the metal road and park at the ned right at the beach. All of the following directions left and right are given like you face the ocean. If you want to go for an amazing walk ...walk to the left side when facing the ocean...its a nice journey exploring the nature, the beachfront, fishing villages and then eventually 20-25 mins into it an amazing footpath 1.5 meters wide that is made of white stones/boulders. its worth keeping walking until you reach this spot. The locals over many years carried white stones from the beachfront and put them on this hillside and created a pathway of white stones on the walkway. Its cool. I usually turn around at this point. When you get back to your car keep walking along the coast, which would be to the right as you faced the ocean from the carpark. In 200 m you will pass an old swedish fishing hut and then you ca explore all of the rock formations and rock pools. You will see how strange and cool they are. If from here you go out to the water/sea you might find the swimming pool which is a whole lot of rocks arranged as a barrier to make a rectangular pool that has sea water flowing into it but is a pool. Fabulous. Have a swim or push a friend in. From here is suggest visiting simrishamn and go down to the harbour and take an icecream. Take a route back to lund via glimminghurse slot or fortress.....its easy to find with gps and is the oldest best preserved viking fortress around even with a moat. Well worth the netrance fee as you can climb all up and through the inside of it. I suggest you then return to lund satisfied after a long but explorative day. There are many design, pottery shops and jewellery design shops in the osterlen vik / kivik area too that i have missed out but you will find online if design shopping is your thing....Have fun, drive safely....suggest you take a relaxing spa with a wine or beer at my place after a long adventurous day.

There are many design, pottery shops and jewellery design shops in the osterlen vik / kivik area too that i have missed out but you will find online if design shopping is your thing....Have fun, drive safely....suggest you take a relaxing spa with a wine or beer at my place after a long adventurous day.

great day trip from my place if you have a car.....so this is a great day trip from lund....get up early and you will be back late.
