Sightseeing
A really beautiful and secluded beach near Edisto Island. This beach is about 45 mins from our cottage but is worth the drive. The beach is atleast a half mile walk from where you have to park but looks like a beach in hawaii. Its protected so driftwood and shells (conchs) cover every inch. It's always a favorite with our guests.

Our favorite place to eat is located here. NICO's is amazing. There are quite a few of other places to grab food and drinks as well right on the water. Great place to watch the boats come in and walk the docks.

The most unique park! It is located on a old bridge and it is really beautiful all times of the day. The neighborhood, old village, you drive through to get there is gorgeous and is great to walk through and take in the houses and views.

The famous store-front lined King Street. Mama Kims and 167 Raw are two great places to grab a bite to eat. One of my favorite stores to shop in here is half-moon outfitters.

A wonderful park and views of the Charleston harbor. Must-see place. The houses are amazing. You can walk right along the harbor as well. Its gorgeous.

Favorite Beaches
About 25-30 mins from out cottage on a Saturday morning. Our favorite local beach to visit for a quiet beach day. There are quite a few great restaurants on the island as well to grab some lunch or dinner. Poe's tavern and Obstinate Daughter are both great options for dining.

Its a cute little farmers market/vegetable shed with great meals, fruit, veggies, and snacks. They have take and bake meals that would be perfect to cook at the cottage while you take showers and relax after a fun filled day.

Its a cute little farmers market/vegetable shed with great meals, fruit, veggies, and snacks. They have take and bake meals that would be perfect to cook at the cottage while you take showers and relax after a fun filled day.
Another great beach. If you have to choose between IOP and Sullivans I would choose Sullivans but definitely go to both if possible..

The mookie blue oysters are a must-try (even if you aren't sure if you like raw oysters) We "didn't like raw oysters" until we found this gem of a place. It is located in the most beautiful area. Take a walk on the shem creek docks or grab a drink right on the water after dinner.

Really cool spot to grab drinks and delicious pizza. They have an amazing beer selection. My favorite is the toasted marshmallow porter.

AMAZING Cuban food. I recommend the cuban and green fries. Finish up with a guava and cheese empanada. You will not be disappointed. The cuban is big enough to share with two people!!! (we made that mistake the first time)

If you're looking for a great local pizza to pick up and bring back to the cottage, this is definitely the place to get it. It's about 1.5 miles from here. We get the hawaii pie-o. Definitely get it if you are a pineapple on pizza kind of person. If not, the margarita is amazing as well!
