A beautiful cafe locted just by the sea in stunning scenary of mountainspeaks in this beautiful fjord, Ersfjorden. It is lots of hiking routes here and an easy one just behind the cafe is Nattmålsfjellet. Cafe Bryggejentene is really a grat place to have a coffee and a small bite and it only takes about 20 to 25 min to drive from Tromsø sentrum.

If you are not alot into hiking. Then this is a nice trip by bus or car. Lovely scenary along the roads and a lot to see on your way. I recommend going by car, then you can drive in a circel and see both sides of the island Kvaløya. When at Sommarøya you can eat at the hotel and it is a lot to discover here. Make a search of different things to do. I of course, recommend hiking up the small mountain of Hillesøytoppen. Stunning view and a relatively short walk.

If you are not alot into hiking. Then this is a nice trip by bus or car. Lovely scenary along the roads and a lot to see on your way. I recommend going by car, then you can drive in a circel and see both sides of the island Kvaløya. When at Sommarøya you can eat at the hotel and it is a lot to discover here. Make a search of different things to do. I of course, recommend hiking up the small mountain of Hillesøytoppen. Stunning view and a relatively short walk.
Great place to go. You get to see the Lyngen alps, take a ferry over a beautiful fjord, and going out to Nord-Lenangen I recommend a stop at Ragnhildas, you find directions to this nice cafe on Facebook.

In winter you can do crosscountry, or just snowshoeing or iceskating. You can also chase the northern lights in this area. I come here at least once a week for skiing. About 2 km into the wally we have a space called Gutta på Skauen, and in this area you can have your own picknic, both inside a lavvo or outdoor. Wood for making your fire is provided free of charge. But please make a donationg at the box on the wall - this amazing place is based on volunteerism. In winter bring one of the small "rompeakebrett" which I have at the house - and enjoy slediging in the slope behind the lavvo. The area is open all year and always. Bring your food and enjoy - summer or winter.

Great view, you can walk or take the cableway. I recommend walking, it is possible to take three different routes. The most difficult and shortes is under the cableway. Taking to the left of the cableway you wil also enjoy a beautiful long stairs built by the sherpas of Nepal. Taking to your right, is the longes but quite easy getting up. They all have beatiful view and you can also walk this in a circle! Enjoy your trip. If I am around I will happily guide you, you can send me a request. When you get to the top of the cableway it is possible to walk on to other tops, like Fløya and Bønntuva.

Just walk out of the house and down to the fjord. In Norway all the area around the fjord is open for public. So just walk on, I prefer walking to the left (south) and walk up and down the small rocks and a litte bit in and out of the fjord. Enjoy the fjord or as we say: Fjæra!

You can walk the mountain just behind the house. Go up to the neigbourhood (houses) and follow Tonasveg, take the second road to your right. When you have passed three houses on your left hand you see a track/small road headig for the woods. This is the track and just follow it. When you get a bit further, the track takes you toward south before it again start raising toward the mountain. Walking a bit slowely, reaching the top takes an hour. If I am around, I am happy to take you out hiking, just send a request.

Something just must see! Stunning mountains, white beaches and the road out there is in and out fjords going over mountaind and through mountains (tunnels) If you go to Senja it is worth seeing more of the island, I recommend spending a night in the area.

This is my local supermarked where I do my daily shopping. But I do prefer buing from local farmers or get it myself from my garden or the sea. I also like shopping at the "internationals supermarked", you find them in centrum of Tromsø.
Wine must be bought at the monopoly, wich you find at Pyramiden. (it is also a supermarket there, Rema) Since Norway, by our monopoly, is one of the biggest winebuyers, you can actually find some very good wines at good prices! Beer is not sold after 20:00 at the supermarkets.
