Reservations are not required by highly recommended. The place boast two fun lively bars but space is limited. Valet parking is mandatory if you are driving.

Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard is a family owned and operated apple orchard located in North Salem, NY, in Westchester County. Their main harvest is in September with apples but they also grow a variety of vegetables and stone fruits which ripen summer through Fall and are available at the farm store or through a CSA. First-generation farmers run the business and have been expanding on their offerings every year since 2011 when they began. In their words, "We are passionate about what we do here. Our goal is to supply our community with fresh, local, healthy food direct from the farmer, all while providing a fun, family-oriented and upbeat atmosphere for our customers to enjoy."
Not just a fruit, flower and vegetable farm, Harvest Moon also raises antibiotic and hormone-free, organic animals. Year round they stock their own farm-raised meats such as turkey, chicken, pork and 100% grass fed beef. They also sell their very own hard cider (Hardscrabble Cider), their own farm fresh free-range eggs, local honey, local dairy & cheeses, local maple syrup and other country store items. From the bakery you can expect their famous apple cider donuts (everyday!), fruit pies and specialty pastries. From the farm kitchen you can indulge in a mouth-watering bacon egg and cheese sandwich as well as other slow-food dishes made from ingredients grown right on the farm. Grab a spot in the new outdoor seating area while you enjoy your fresh food and a hard cider, overlooking the very land from which it all came.
Harvest Moon also hosts a wealth of big seasonal events – the Easter Egg Hunt and Apple Blossom Festival in Spring, Hardscrabble Cider events throughout the Summer and a really happening Fall Festival on weekends during September and October. Film-goers have been treated to question-and-answer sessions with many of the movie industry’s finest, including Ron Howard, Harvey Keitel, Tim Robbins, Barry Levinson and more, as part of our film society events, which screens both feature and documentary films. Community events such as the Ridgefield High School Orchestra Concert and the Annual Town Meeting found a new home at The Playhouse, not to mention a place for local dance companies to perform. Children have been enjoying our children series as well as our after-school programs and summer camp. Comedians such as Martin Short, Dana Carvey, Jackie Mason, Joan Rivers, Kathy Griffen, Robert Klein, Ron White and many others have been making audiences laugh here while speakers such as Ira Glass, David Sedaris, and Stephen Sondheim have shared their insight and journey.

As a landmark in the community, the Inn retains its peaceful atmosphere.

The rock has graffiti on it dating from the 18th and 19th century as the road (an old stage route) has been a major road in the area for centuries. The rock is a glacial erratic left by the last receding glacier about 10,000 years ago. A few (very few) believe the rock is evidence of work of Druids.
