Sightseeing

If you are active and would like to go for a walk or a jog, we suggest heading down Millwood Avenue (turn left when leaving the house and keep walking on the left). At the bottom of the road there is a traffic light and a bridge to cross. After the bridge on your right you will find entry to the Lane Cove Park. There are plenty of safe roads and trails to walk and run in the park. You can also drive and park there.
It's close to the home and a beautiful, relaxing place for outdoor activity.

Activity

Most visitors are keen to visit the famous Bondi Beach located south of the city. To get there, we suggest starting at Coogee Beach and taking a six-kilometre walk along the coast to finish at Bondi. It is a scenic walk where you pass several smaller beaches. It is appropriate for children and you may even bring a stroller but be prepared to occasionally need to carry it up and down some steps.

Neighbourhoods

If you’re looking for a more family-friendly place to relax on a weekend, we suggest coffee, breakfast or lunch at Lane Cove Plaza. Our favourite coffee place is a small tucked-away place call “The Junction Coffee Co”. Lane Cove also offer a variety of restaurants, including: • Maruya – Japanese restaurant • Four Frogs – French creperie • Via Napoli – Italian restaurant (best pizzas in Sydney) Kids can play on a small fake grass area in the middle of the plaza or visit the library.
